Terms of Service
Our promises
A few things we want you to know before you agree.
Before you dive in
Terms of Service are not usually anyone's favorite reading.
We get it.
So here's the plain-English version before we get into the legal language:
You run your business. Wocket helps you run it.
Your customers, business records, and content belong to you. We provide the software, infrastructure, and services that help you manage the work.
You are responsible for how you use Wocket and for the information you put into it. We are responsible for operating the Service, protecting it with the security controls we describe in our policies, and being straightforward with you when something changes.
You can leave at any time.
We will not make you sign an annual commitment just to use Wocket on a monthly plan. We will not hold your business data hostage when you leave. And when something goes wrong, we would rather explain what happened than hide behind a wall of legal language.
The rest of this document turns those ideas into the actual agreement between you and Cog Mission.
1. The Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Cog Mission ("Cog Mission," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Wocket and related Cog Mission websites, applications, and services — including www.cog-mission.com and www.usewocket.com (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, signing in, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company, organization, or other business, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms work together with our other published policies, including our:
- Privacy Policy
- Information Security & Data Protection Policy
- HIPAA / PHI Policy, where applicable
- Data Deletion Policy
- other product-specific agreements or policies incorporated by reference
If a separate written agreement between your organization and Cog Mission conflicts with these Terms, the written agreement controls for the subject matter covered by that agreement.
2. The Service
Wocket is a business operations platform built to help small and growing service businesses manage the work surrounding the work.
Depending on your plan, the Service may include:
- Leads and customer management
- Scheduling
- Jobs and work orders
- Team and employee management
- Communications
- Invoicing
- Payments tooling
- Payroll summaries
- Media and documentation
- Reporting and analytics
- Business records and exports
- Other tools we develop with our customers
Features vary by plan and may change over time.
We build in public. That means things move.
Wocket is an evolving product.
We may add features, improve existing features, change how a feature works, or retire features that no longer make sense.
We will make those changes with reasonable care for existing customers and will provide notice where required by law or these Terms.
Not every experiment becomes a permanent feature.
That's not a bug in our philosophy. It's how we learn.
3. Your Account & Your Team
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- Maintaining appropriate access for your team
- Removing access when someone leaves your organization
- Protecting devices used to access Wocket
- All activity occurring through your account that results from your failure to maintain appropriate security
You may not share credentials in a way that defeats account or user-level access controls.
You are also responsible for making sure your employees, contractors, and other authorized users comply with these Terms.
If you believe someone has accessed your account without authorization, contact us promptly.
4. Your Business Data
Your business is yours.
Your customers are yours.
Your jobs are yours.
Your invoices are yours.
Your schedules are yours.
Your business data remains your property.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your business content to Cog Mission.
You grant Cog Mission a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, display, back up, and otherwise use your business data as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the Service
- Secure the Service
- Maintain and troubleshoot the Service
- Provide customer support
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Meet legal obligations
- Improve the Service using information that has been appropriately aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law and our published policies
We do not need ownership of your business to help you run it.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use information associated with your account to provide the Service and operate our business.
That may include:
- Account and authentication information
- Customer and lead information
- Scheduling and job information
- Billing and payment information
- Team information
- Communications and support requests
- Product usage information
- Security and audit information
Our Privacy Policy describes our handling of personal information in greater detail.
Our Information Security & Data Protection Policy describes the technical and organizational safeguards we use to protect information.
If your organization handles Protected Health Information (PHI), additional requirements may apply. See our HIPAA / PHI Policy and your Business Associate Agreement, where applicable.
6. Acceptable Use
Wocket exists to help people run legitimate businesses and organizations.
You may not use the Service to:
- Break applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Commit fraud or facilitate fraudulent activity
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate others
- Distribute malware or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Probe, scan, or attack our systems without authorization
- Circumvent security or access controls
- Interfere with the operation of the Service
- Resell or sublicense unauthorized access
- Submit information you know to be materially false or misleading
- Use the Service to create a competing service through unauthorized access to our systems or confidential information
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these Terms.
We will try to distinguish between an honest mistake and deliberate abuse.
7. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation
We don't believe software should trap you.
Paid Wocket plans are generally billed monthly unless a different billing arrangement is expressly agreed upon.
No annual commitment
Standard rolling-monthly plans do not require an annual commitment.
Cancel anytime
You may cancel at any time.
There is no cancellation penalty.
You may cancel inside Wocket under User Hub → Billing.
You may also contact [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.
What happens when you cancel?
You have two choices:
Keep using Wocket. Continue using the Service through the end of your current paid period. No refund is issued for that period.
Leave early. Request a per-diem refund for the unused portion of your current paid period. A $5 banking fee is deducted from the unused-time credit to cover payment-processing costs. The resulting refund will not be less than $0.
Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically on a rolling monthly cadence until cancelled.
Pricing changes
If we materially change our list pricing, we will provide at least 30 days' notice.
Your current paid period remains at the price you already paid. The new price applies at the next applicable renewal following the notice period.
Taxes and third-party payment-processing fees may apply as disclosed at checkout or on your invoice.
8. Leaving Wocket & Taking Your Data With You
We want happy customers — including when they leave.
Before deleting your account, we strongly recommend exporting your business data.
Depending on your plan and the features enabled for your account, exports may include:
- Customers / clients
- Leads / opportunities
- Jobs / work orders
- Schedules
- Invoices
- Payments
- Team / employees
- Payroll summaries
- Media library
- Analytics snapshots
- Other supported business records
- All company data bundle
Exports may be available in JSON, CSV, Excel, PDF, or other formats depending on the type of information and the export tool being used (JSON, CSV, Excel, and PDF where supported).
After an account deletion request is completed, recovery of deleted production data may not be possible.
Export first. Delete second.
We cannot stress this enough.
Account deletion is not an "undo" button.
Our Data Deletion Policy explains the account-deletion process and applicable retention requirements.
9. Security, Privacy & Sensitive Information
We take the security of your information seriously.
Our security program includes controls such as:
- Encryption in transit
- Encryption at rest
- Authentication and access controls
- Role-based permissions
- Tenant isolation
- Security monitoring
- Audit logging
- Vulnerability management
- Incident-response procedures
- Data retention and deletion controls
Our Information Security & Data Protection Policy provides additional detail.
Sensitive information requires additional care.
Do not place sensitive information into Wocket simply because there is a text box available.
For example, Protected Health Information (PHI) should only be stored in designated Healthcare Documentation workflows and only when the applicable Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is active.
Do not put PHI into ordinary job notes, general CRM notes, chat, screenshots, marketing analytics, or invoice descriptions.
If you are unsure where something belongs, ask us before entering it.
We would much rather answer a question than clean up a preventable problem.
10. Payments & Third-Party Services
Wocket may connect with third-party services for functions such as:
- Payment processing
- Banking connections
- Messaging
- Maps and routing
- Analytics
- Authentication
- Other integrations
Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
When you choose to use a third-party integration, you authorize the applicable information exchange necessary to provide that integration.
Third-party services may experience outages, limitations, policy changes, or other issues outside Cog Mission's control.
You are responsible for maintaining business-eligible accounts where a third-party provider requires them.
For example, certain peer-to-peer payment services may restrict commercial use of consumer accounts.
11. Service Availability & Changes
We work hard to keep Wocket available.
We cannot promise that the Service will be available every second of every day.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- Planned maintenance
- Emergency maintenance
- Infrastructure failures
- Third-party service outages
- Internet or telecommunications failures
- Security incidents
- Events outside our reasonable control
We may temporarily limit access where necessary to protect customers, data, or the Service.
When practical, we will communicate material outages and maintenance events.
Backups are not magic
We maintain backup and recovery processes appropriate to the Service.
However, no backup system eliminates every possibility of data loss.
You should maintain copies of business records that you are legally or operationally required to retain independently of Wocket.
12. Intellectual Property
The Wocket Service, including its software, source code, interface designs, branding, documentation, visual assets, and underlying technology, is owned by Cog Mission and its licensors.
These Terms do not give you ownership of that intellectual property.
You receive a limited right to use the Service during your subscription in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Service except where applicable law expressly permits you to do so.
Your use of the Service does not give you ownership of the Cog Mission or Wocket names, trademarks, logos, or other brand assets.
13. Feedback, Research & Improvement
This is where we ask you to help us get better.
Cog Mission builds products by listening to the people who use them.
If you voluntarily send us suggestions, ideas, feedback, research responses, feature requests, or observations about Wocket, you give us permission to use that feedback to improve our products and services without owing you compensation.
We may also invite customers to participate in research, interviews, roundtables, prototypes, or early-access programs.
Participation is voluntary.
We will not publicly identify you or publish confidential business information as part of a research story without appropriate permission.
We believe the best product roadmap is built with the people living the problem.
Your feedback is not a ticket.
It's part of the roadmap.
14. Disclaimers
Wocket is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cog Mission disclaims warranties of:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted availability
- Error-free operation
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will always be available
- Every feature will work perfectly
- Every calculation or report will be error-free
- Third-party integrations will remain available
- The Service will meet every possible business requirement
- Using Wocket alone will make your organization legally or regulatory compliant
You remain responsible for determining whether Wocket is appropriate for your business, industry, jurisdiction, and particular use case.
For regulated activities, including healthcare, financial services, employment, taxes, and other regulated areas, obtain appropriate professional advice.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cog Mission, its directors, employees, partners, contractors, licensors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for claims arising from or related to the Service during any twelve-month period will not exceed the amount you paid Cog Mission for the Service during that period.
If you used only a free plan during that period, our maximum aggregate liability will be USD $100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
16. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cog Mission and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
- Your unlawful use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of another person's rights
- Your business data or content
- Your violation of applicable law
- Your use of third-party integrations
This section does not require you to indemnify Cog Mission for claims caused by Cog Mission's own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other conduct that cannot legally be shifted to you.
17. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service when reasonably necessary to:
- Protect the security of the Service
- Protect customers or other users
- Prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal requirements
- Address a material violation of these Terms
- Collect substantially overdue amounts
Where appropriate and practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the problem before termination.
We may immediately suspend access when continued access creates a significant security, legal, or operational risk.
You may terminate your account at any time under Section 7.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and applicable payment obligations — will survive.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Wocket, our business, or applicable requirements change.
We will post the revised Terms with an updated "Last Updated" date.
For material changes, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice.
If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide notice through reasonable means.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree with the revised Terms, your option is to stop using the Service and cancel your account.
19. Apple App Store Terms
If you obtained the Wocket mobile application through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Cog Mission, not Apple.
Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the application.
If the application fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund any applicable purchase price.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the application.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the application and may enforce the applicable provisions as third-party beneficiaries.
20. General Legal Terms
These Terms constitute the agreement between you and Cog Mission concerning your use of the Service.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent, except where permitted in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of your business assets.
Cog Mission may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of the Service.
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction specified in any applicable written agreement with you or, where no such agreement exists, the laws applicable to Cog Mission's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking emergency or equitable relief where appropriate.

Billing and cancellation help is also available in Wocket under User Hub → Billing.
If something here is confusing, tell us.
Seriously.
Legal documents should protect both sides. They should not require a decoder ring.
